- To tell the truth…
Stuart Briscoe, who was a spiritual leader to hundreds of thousands of people around the world, has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior. We’ve been so encouraged by the emails, notes, and phone calls from people who have been touched by his dedication to teaching the Bible and his faithful ministry over seven decades.
Stuart dedicated his life to sharing God’s Word with the world. And we’re so thankful to have learned from his steady fortitude to follow Jesus and his faithful commitment to love and serve people.
Stuart would tell all of us grieving his passing not to make a big deal about it. Dying is merely an unavoidable end-product to having lived in this broken world, and for every believer, a means to eternal Life. What was important to Stuart was carrying on and finishing strong—saying yes to every appointment God had for him right up to his dying day. And Stuart did just that.
So, to those who remain in this world he would say, “Keep calm and carry on.” And that’s exactly what we intend to do.
There’s no doubt we will miss our founder, mentor, teacher, and friend. But one day we’ll reunite with him in Heaven. No doubt, he’ll meet us at the gate with a three-point sermon about how Heaven exceeded every limited human expectation he ever had. Oh, what a glorious day that will be!
